Quiz Week 2



Week 2 Covers Chapters 2 and 3.  The following quiz questions are based on ideas from those chapters.

The quiz is open notes and open book.  But you need to do your own work, the quiz is not group assignment.

Chapter 1 offered an initial, but somewhat simplified description of social research.   There are several important ways that social research varies.

  • Use: basic vrs applied
  • Purpose: explore, describe, explain
  • Case structure:   within case studies, across cases
  • Time points:  cross sectional, longitudinal (time series, panel, cohort), case study
  • Data collection techniques.
